Canada Visitor Visa Application Support for Applicants in India

Structured preparation for a Canada Visitor visa (temporary resident visa) application — for tourism, family visits, or short-term travel.

The visitor visa (TRV), at a high level

A Canada visitor visa — formally a temporary resident visa — is what most applicants from India need to enter Canada for tourism, family visits, or short-term travel that doesn't involve work or study. IRCC assesses each application on your specific purpose, documentation, and circumstances.

Purpose of visit and itinerary

A clear, specific reason for travel — visiting a named family member, attending a particular event, or a defined trip — is more convincing to an officer than a general statement about wanting to visit Canada.

Financial evidence and ties to India

IRCC generally looks for evidence that you can fund your trip and that you have reasons to return to India — employment, business, property, or family. We help you organize both so they're consistent with the rest of your application, not treated as a single checkbox.

Invitation and sponsor documentation

If you're visiting family or friends in Canada, an invitation letter and their supporting documents — status in Canada, address, and relationship to you — are usually part of a complete application, and they need to line up with what you've stated.

Document organization

We help you assemble a complete, consistent application package before submission, rather than leaving IRCC to piece together documents that don't clearly support each other.

Common questions

Is a visitor visa the same as an eTA?

No. An Electronic Travel Authorization (eTA) applies to certain visa-exempt travellers; most applicants travelling on an Indian passport need a temporary resident visa (visitor visa) instead. We'll confirm which applies to you.

How much money do I need to show?

There's no fixed figure we can quote — IRCC assesses funding evidence against your specific trip. We help you organize documentation appropriate to your situation.

Who actually reviews or represents my application?

Covalyn Migration is not itself licensed to provide regulated Canadian immigration advice. Where that's needed, it's provided by our licensed RCIC partner, Jaspreet Singh — a Regulated Canadian Immigration Consultant (RCIC #R707174) licensed by the College of Immigration and Citizenship Consultants — independently of Covalyn Migration.

Does Covalyn guarantee my visa will be approved?

No. Every application is assessed independently by IRCC. We help you prepare a complete, well-organized application — we don't guarantee the outcome.
