The Super Visa allows eligible parents and grandparents of Canadian citizens or permanent residents to visit for extended periods — generally up to five years per entry — and requires an invitation letter, proof of host income, and approved medical insurance.

Does every country have a Super Visa program?
No — Canada's Super Visa is a specific, named program. Other countries either have their own equivalent (such as Australia's Sponsored Parent visa or New Zealand's Parent and Grandparent Visitor Visa) or no dedicated program at all, in which case the standard visitor visa applies. Is medical insurance mandatory?
